Original Artisan Range – Various Colours – 150ml
The Original Artisan Range is a traditional style, eco-friendly, chalk and mineral paint.
Original Artisan Range colours available:
Grey Pebble, Ivory Tower, Lady Grey, Posh Nelly, Stormy and Virgin.
It’s rich, creamy and self-priming and gives you superior coverage.
Minimal VOC content and virtually no odour.
Traditionally, the Artisan Range benefits from sealing with either Waxes, Finishing Coat or Tuff Top Coat for extra protection and durability.
You can create almost endless decorative effects – let your imagination loose with texture and multiple colour layers for an eclectic rustic or antiqued look or go for a sleek, smooth finish.
As with all Frenchic paints and finishes, it is UKCA and EN71-3 certified, meaning it is safe to use on children’s toys.
Preparation for a project using the Original Artisan Range:
Ensure surfaces are in suitable condition for painting – clean, dry, free from wax, grease or penetrating substances and in sound condition. If previously painted, remove loose or flaking paint.
Surface preparation required in addition to the above – clean with Frenchic Sugar Soap, rinse and dry thoroughly. Hand sand sufficiently to abrade the surface. Wipe off any dust, paint away.
Stir thoroughly with a wide implement, such as a Paint Paddle, prior to each use.
Application, drying and curing time for the Original Artisan Range:
Apply with a good quality brush or a roller. Also suitable for spraying – thin with up to 15% tap water and apply additional coats.
To allow self-levelling, avoid overworking the Artisan Range paint.
Allow a minimum of 1 hour between coats (even if the paint feels touch dry).
Curing (hardening) time is 2-3 weeks in normal conditions. Treat gently until curing is complete.
Clean up and storage:
Reseal pot after use. Clean up any spills immediately with water. Wash brushes in warm, soapy water.
Do not store where the pot could be subjected to damp, frost, freezing or high temperatures.
